Goji Active would be one of the new Superfoods that have been talked about on Oprah and other shows.  These are considered important foods in bodily functions. This supplement claims that one will get increased energy, aids weight loss, helps fatigue, and helps fat oxidation. Goji Active contains a few ingredients that are a catalyst to weight loss.  The ingredients list includes:

  • Green Tea Leaf Extract
  • EGCG
  • Caffeine
  • Goji Berry
  • L-Theanine

These bold claims are backed up with pretty high dosages of some of these ingredients.

Goji Active Side Effects

Goji Active has pretty high dosages of Green Tea Extract (which contains Caffeine) and just plain Caffeine.  According to the website, one capsule of Goji Active has 200 mg of Caffeine.  As a reference point, one can of Red Bull contains 80 mg of Caffeine, so one should take precautionary measures if they have negative reactions to the drug seeing that it essentially has a double dose when including the Green Tea Extract.  Goji Berries and EGCG are powerful antioxidants, and should have many health benefits from those, however, there seems to be a relatively low amount of Goji to really reap the benefits of the berry.  Goji Active is a powerful stimulant, and one that should fulfill many of the claims.

Does Goji Active Work Well Enough to Buy?

Green Tea Extract and Caffeine aid in the weight loss process, but as mentioned before, one should take precautionary measures if severe reactions follow the ingestion of high amounts of Caffeine.  This will certainly give one enough energy to perform tasks throughout the day, and may help while doing workouts.  Other than that, Goji appears to be more of a stimulant, than specifically suppressing one’s appetite.  Overall, Goji Active seems to work relatively well, especially if one struggles with energy during workouts.
