The Green Tea Fat Metabolizer claims to help the user permanently burn fat by using green tea extract along with a powerful blend of natural herbal supplements and boosters to increase calorie burning, promote energy, and support weight management.  But does this product really have anything besides green tea to encourage weight loss?

Chromium picolinate, the main ingredient in the Green Tea Fat Metabolizer was first known as an element that enables the hormone insulin to function properly.  It is also believed to help the body process carbohydrates and fats more easily.  Research to back this claim up has been mixed; some studies find it to aid in weight loss while other studies find it has no weight loss advantages.

The fish oil contained in this supplement has omega-3 fatty acids and DHA which are known to reduce inflammation throughout the body and have many health benefits.   There are no known unfavorable side effects to this supplement.  There are also no known weight-loss benefits to fish oil.

The Green Tea extract has been shown to increase metabolic rate and contribute to weight-loss.

The fat metabolizer blend containing Advantra Z has become a regular in many diet supplements.  Advantra Z claims to change the way your body metabolizes fat, which may result in fat loss.  It claims to increase fat-burning speed and speed up metabolism in some people.  However, these claims have yet to be proven.  Unlike its predecessor Ephedra, Advantra Z has shown no negative side effects.

Bioprene’s main role is to enhance thermogenesis, the production of heat in the body.  This will hopefully help speed up the user’s metabolism.  Insufficient studies have been conducted to determine whether its weight-loss claims are real.

There definitely could be some adverse side effects to those who take the Green Tea Fat Metabolizer.  Anxiety, irritability, jitteriness, and the inability to sleep are all known side effects of taking green tea.  The ingredient Bioprene has also had users report moderate diarrhea and skin discomfort.  I would definitely use caution in taking the diet supplement if you are sensitive to the affects of caffeine and GI tract infections.

Does Irwin Naturals Green Tea Fat Metabolizer Work Well Enough to Buy?

Irwin Naturals Green Tea Fat Metabolizer cannot be purchased through their website but can be purchased at a number of different health food chains and online stores.  It runs anywhere from $10.99 and up for 75 soft gels.  This does seem like a good price compared to many other weight loss supplements.  I do think that Irwin Naturals Green Tea Fat Metabolizer will give the user a significant boost of energy and the green tea may ultimately result in weight-loss.  However, I am not sure it will really curb appetite or its other ingredients will contribute to a large amount of weight-loss.  As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be enough research to prove that any of the ingredients found in this supplement besides green tea will contribute to a lasting weight-loss success.
