Life Extension LuraLean
We have all heard how important fiber is, we have been told about the digestion benefits, how fiber can prevent certain diseases, and how it can help manage a healthy weight. We also know how hard it is to get the recommended amount of fiber each day. LuraLean by LEF is basically a fiber supplement that when taken claims to regulate glucose levels, helps you feel more full, and helps control your appetite. It has even been said that this supplement can help lower your cholesterol. Is this fiber supplement really much better than something you can buy at any grocery store?
LuraLean by LEF Ingredients
There is only one active ingredient in LuraLean by LEF and that is LuraLean. Each serving has about 2000 mg of LuraLean. LuraLean is derived from a fiber grown in Japan. This fiber is also known as glucomannan, which is a very popular ingredient in many diet supplements. However, because of LuraLean’s intense purification process, it differs from glucomannan. All of the impurities and additives have been removed from LaraLean guaranteeing that it will not breakdown during digestion.
The way the ingredient LuraLean works is after it is ingested it then interacts with the liquids found in the stomach which causes it to expand up to 200 times its original size. This then will create a feeling of fullness and satisfaction. It also acts as a “fat magnet” and soaks up the fats and stops them from breaking down, escorting them out of your system. One con to LuraLean is it in no way distinguishes between good fats and bad fats.
LuraLean by LEF Side Effects
According to LuraLean, no side effects have been reported. They promise that over 60 credible research studies have been conducted with no known adverse side effects. The ingredient LuraLean was even awarded the 2009 Nutraward Finalist. This prestigious award recognizes the scientific research and effectiveness of LuraLean.
Does LuraLean by LEF Work Well Enough to Buy?
LuraLean by LEF sells on their official website for about 25 dollars for 120 capsules. They recommend you take 8 capsules a day which equates to each bottle lasting for only 15 days. This makes it a relatively expensive way to get fiber into your system. LEF’s return policy is also definitely not the best. They claim to have a 100% satisfaction guarantee however, upon further examination they will not refund your money, only give you a replacement bottle or a credit to your LEF account. This is not the “liberal” return policy I was hoping for. . LuraLean does seem like it has some advantages over a regular fiber supplement and may help curb your appetite enough to lose some weight. However, if you are looking for a more complete diet supplement that not only suppresses your appetite but also stimulates your metabolism and helps get rid of fat stores then LuraLean by LEF may not be ideal for you.
