The Skinny On Alpha T2
When companies market their products with strong claims such as ”TARGETED FAT DESTROYER”, I bounce between interest and skepticism. Who doesn’t want to destroy their body fat? Most mornings on viewing mine in the bathroom mirror, I want to blast it into the cosmos never to be seen again. Body fat may keep you warm, but it’s UGLY. But can a product really ‘destroy’ fat?
Alpha T2 has a myriad of claims:
- Destroy fat!
- Decrease fat storage!
- Increase fat burning!
- Increase metabolism!
These sound impressive, but they’re basically the same claim: Alpha T2 burns fat. Period. (We hope anyway.)
Alpha T2 also claims they’re the last stop in fat burning. In other words if you use their product you’ll never have use for another fat burner again. Well, hyped-up marketing claims and impressive label design come to naught if the ingredients don’t deliver. A product is only as good as its formula. Let’s look at it.
Alpha T2 Ingredients
Alpha T2 contains only ‘three powerful ingredients.’ The company claims this is because (quote) “We weren’t interested in making a product with 8 ingredients and unknown dosages with names you can’t even pronounce.” Well unfortunately with diet pills, usually the more ingredients used the merrier. Three ingredients may not cut it. So what are these ‘powerful ingredients’?
3,3-T2 (3,3-diiodo-l-thryonine): the ingredient that gives the ‘T2′ to Alpha T2, 3,3-T2 (3,3-diiodo-l-thryonine) is a naturally occurring iodo-thryonine that apparently ‘kicks your thyroid gland into action!’ A sluggish thyroid gland equals a sluggish metabolism. Slow metabolism means you’re fighting an uphill battle to lose weight even if you do increase your physical activity and diet. A healthy metabolism initiates increased energy and fat burning. Thus thyroid health is essential to weight loss! In addition 3,3-T2 (3,3-diiodo-l-thryonine) stimulates the enzyme cytochrome c oxidase which uncouples proteins that break down and burn fatty acids used for energy. Unfortunately T2 is in its infancy and has yet to be clinically tested. I’m not implying it doesn’t do what it claims to, I’m simply stating I don’t have proof that it does!
Rauwolscine HCl: this ingredient is an ‘Alpha 2 Receptor’ blocker. This ingredient is the ‘Alpha’ in Alpha T2. It seems Alpha 2 Receptors are bad. Everyone has them, and unless they’re blocked by Rauwolscine HCl, your natural ability to break down and burn fat is compromised. And Alpha T2 receptors are in abundance in the areas where you are storing fat such as your abdomen, hips, lower back and thighs. By blocking these receptors, Rauwolscine HCI cause you to start burning this stored fat and ridding your body of it for good! Again, there seems to be no clinical evidence backing this ingredient, and it is yet to be patented. I want to believe the claim, but don’t have proof that it works.
Methyl-Synephrine: structurally similar to the famous ephedra, this ingredient activates the breakdown of stored fats and increases your resting metabolism without harmful side effects. It does this by acting on the beta-3-adrenergic (nervous system) receptors which are safe, versus the beta-2-receptors which are primarily used in cardiac control. Ephedra (as you may remember) was famous for causing heart problems. So with methyl-synephrine you apparently get all the benefits of ephedra without over-stimulating your heart! This sounds incredible, but again this is yet to be a top-rated, clinically proven ingredient.
Alpha T2 Side Effects
Are there any side effects associated with Alpha T2? Well actually from the list of ingredients, Alpha T2 sounds completely safe. Consumers have yet to report negative side effects, and positive reviews are coming in on the effectiveness of this product.
Does Alpha T2 Work Well Enough to Buy?
I want to say yes, because consumer reviews seem to be positive (if they’re genuine), and the ingredients do sound terrific in theory. I am always skeptical of ingredients that don’t have scientific proof to back them however. And it seems PES sells Alpha T2 through third-party retailers so you’ll be at the mercy of their return policy. It retails anywhere from $24.95 to $29.95, so shop for the best price. If you try this product be open to the possibility of disappointment, because the only diet pills that you can be almost positive will work are those with clinically proven ingredients-and lots of them besides.
Good luck!
